Terms of Service

1. Who we are

coupler. is a software-as-a-service platform operated by Apex Build Systems Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). We provide scaffolding business management software to contractors and construction businesses in the United Kingdom. By accessing or using coupler. you agree to these Terms.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to bind the business you are registering.

You may invite team members to your account. You are responsible for their use of the platform.

3. Subscription and payment

coupler. is offered on a monthly or annual subscription basis. Prices are displayed on our pricing page and are exclusive of VAT. Payment is due at the start of each billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.

4. Your data

You retain ownership of all data you upload to coupler. (projects, clients, documents, etc.). By uploading data you grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the service.

On account cancellation, you may export your data within 30 days. After 30 days we may permanently delete it. We will not sell your data to third parties.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
  • Resell or sublicence access to the platform without our written consent
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data in bulk

6. Uptime and support

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be notified in advance where possible. Support is provided by email during UK business hours (Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:30).

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apex Build Systems Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of coupler. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in that period. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

8. Intellectual property

All intellectual property in coupler. (software, design, branding) remains the property of Apex Build Systems Ltd. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited right to use the platform as described herein.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms or if we believe your use poses a risk to other users or the platform. Upon termination, your access will cease and these Terms (except clauses 4, 7, and 8) will no longer apply.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
